Honey Bee Pollination presentation

a basic introduction to pollination and the inside of bee hives

Service Description

In this one hour presentation your student will watch an actual bee keeper show off the inside of a bee hive (no live bees) and what the comb, propolis and frames look like. Students will learn what tools are required to be a bee keeper and will also get a lesson in how bees collect pollen and nectar to bring back to their hive to feed the colony. Large hand puppets and colorful paper flowers to interact with the students. At the end of the presentation there will be time for questions and local honey to sample! This class is perfect for ages Kindergarten -4th grade.
