Service Description
In this one hour presentation, I will be making all natural chapsticks from bees wax, coconut oil, shea butter and essential oils. We talk about the different oils and how their melting temperatures vary depending on their state ie: solid, semi solid or liquid. ( this is a little science lesson too!) After that, it’s time to start melting! I have control of the hot plate and stirring but the kids get to see everything up close as we wait for the solid bees wax to melt with our other oils! Once we have our liquid mixture perfectly heated, I pour the chapsticks. Each student will take home one of their very own all natural chapsticks they just saw being made! This class is great for 2nd graders and up.
